Firefighter Radio Holder and Strap

Handmade by us here in Australia, our leather Firefighter radio holder and strap are designed for work.
 
We use quality leather and stainless steel snaps on the pouches and straps with a nickel plated solid brass buckle for the strap adjustment (stainless roller buckle available on request with leather keeper (see Oxley belt for similar, only with a roller on buckle). The leather we use is full grain chrome tanned which is ideal in all weather conditions, including wet weather - something tricky to avoid in this line of work - as well as high heat and direct sunlight. Strap leather is tanned here in Australia.
 
Designed for ease of use with handheld radios, the pouches feature:
 Anti-sway strap on pouch back with scissor snap for quick attachment to pants loop (including wide loops on firefighter pants)
Swivel snaps on anti-sway and main strap for ease of wear and manouverability when putting on and off
Small strap with hidden snap for cord to pass through to prevent the cord drooping and catching on items on main shoulder strap
Loop/catch on top of shoulder strap for microphone to attach to for easy access near mouth for speech
Snug, easy fitting pouch for the radio with over top strap and snap to hold in securely, but ability to access all displays and dials easily. The strap sits neatly between aerial and dials.
Main strap to go over shoulder is 1 1 /4" width for comfort and weight distribution.
 
These pouches have been made in conjunction with firefighters and have been tried and tested in the field extensively with very possitive feedback including ease of use, quick to put on, removing weight off pants by having radio at hip and strap over shoulder, hard wearing pouch that gets treated roughly but holds up well, and a great piece. They are ideal for the officer in charge (OIC) of appliances or incidents and motor drivers and for all firefighters or other service members.
 
We have made these pouches to fit the Motorola APX8000 portable radio. These pouches can also suit the Motorola used by NSW Rural Fire Service (it will fit in the size pouch for APX8000 but as it is a smaller radio the pouch is more snug with 1cm less on top strap to secure, please select if you require this option). These pouches can be used for other emergency service radios and services in other states etc., if required, but as we are not certain on fit please get in touch and we can advise what measurements we require to make a pouch to suit or to check against these models.

Stamping
Station number, name or service number can be cold stamped (see images of multiple pouches for example) on the main pouch and/or on shoulder strap. Please note as required where you would like stamping. Can also be left blank. Will be stamped on both strap and pouch unless otherwise noted. Depending on numbers/letters required will depend on the font we can fit/use. Names will be stamped in a smaller 6 or 10mm font.
 
Radio not included. These are made to order, please allow 1-3 weeks for completion. For large volume orders leadtimes may be slightly longer, contact us if you have any questions on the piece or regarding timeframes. Brigades that use them are really happy with them and say they are easy to use, great to take excess weight off their pants when on the job and just quick to pop on. We are not allowed to list the exact organisation these pouches were designed for due to legal reasons, see the options for the services they fit though.
